To keep it alive through winter in colder regions, (Coleus’ are hardy in USDA zone 10-11) you must bring the plant indoors before the first frost and provide full shade to partial sun, with at least six hours of sunlight for the best flowering and best color. You can water only when the soil is dry. Keep her in the house in the winter but then put them outside in the summer and watch her thrive.
When you order a Kong Salmon Pink Coleus plant to ship, you will receive a established coleus plant plug with very little soil in the roots, and a paper towel to keep the roots moist. You will need to unwrap the plug and transfer into well draining soil asap. Nursery pot set inside a decorative pot is recommended. All plants are free of any known parasites or illnesses when sold.
*If picking up seeds and plants in the winter months please let me know what day you plan on picking up and I will place the goods in a warmed cooler with a heat pack inside so you can pick up at your earliest convenience.
